Trotting Through Life's One Year Anniversary

Hello  & welcome to a rather special edition of Trotting Through Life.  You see, this Monday,  March 24th marks the one year anniversary of Trotting Through Life.  Now,  I won't be something big and bombastic for this but let's have some fun. What to do, what to do?  I've already counted down my Top 6 Fluttershy moments and I've already gone over my Top 6 episodes of Season 1.  Hmm,  I've already counted down my favorite songs as well.  Hmm,  I don't know what to do here!   Any ideas, let's see.   I've already gone over my favorite songs from the show but that was before Equestira Girls came out.   I've got it,  a Top 6 special  counting down  my  Top 6  favorite Trotting articles.

6.  Double Rainboom

This is in my opinion,  the angriest I've ever been at here.   And  say what I will about  Gasp!  or  Too  Smart For Strangers, this thing is 10000  times worse than both of those combined.   Double Rainboom, the first "official"  fan made episode of MLP  is perhaps the worst thing, I've ever watched for reviewing purposes and this review just sticks out  because I was just so angry and I feel like this review perfectly captured all of my anger with this thing as I tried to point out that there was a difference between parody and reference, something that this thing didn't quite get and  I have no intention of ever watching this piece of garbage ever again but this review stands out as being special to me because it was important for me to get my anger out at how bad,  this was.

5. Equestira Girls

The film that shook a fandom and split them down the middle, there was a long road leading to this review with two articles leading up to it and when I finally saw the film, I liked it and I knew that I had to share my thoughts in what is perhaps one of my longest reviews to date as there was just a lot to cover about this really good film and when I have a lot to say about a film,  my reviews tend to be pretty long and this was most certainly no exception.

4.   Trotting Through Life Attempts A Serious Interview (But Sadly, The Host Has To Put Up with a Fanboy as his Co-Host)

I knew that I had to have at least one Magic Dust article as I just love the Magic Dust articles as they are my favorite things to write for Trotting as I always love getting to write as another character and this one was perhaps the most fun with Dustie's fangasms over Colt Porter and not being able to contain himself and keep calm.  Those fanboy moments were some of the highlights of any writing, I've ever done and  I again have to thank Colt Porter for agreeing to this interview.

3.   Flight to The Finish (with The Second Opinion and a  Certain  Unwanted Filly)

Now, this one was just so much  fun on my part to get write this review as Diamond Tiara.  Talk about going against type here,   I could not be more different from that little brat and writing as her was a little bit of a challenge but I feel that I pulled it off well and not to discredit,  my partner, The Second Opinion, has proven to be a great reviewing partner and I truly enjoyed seeing his reactions to whatever I as Diamond Tiara had to say and was able to hold his own and it has been a pleasure working with him on these reviews.

2.  Celebrating One Year of Being a Brony

Ah yes,  this one.   I've decided that this will become a tradition that every November,  (the month I became a fan), I will do a special countdown and this November, I'll be counting down my Top 6 episodes of Season 2.  I liked doing this because it to me showed how much this show had come to mean to me since I started watching this wonderful and to get to go over my favorite episodes was a treat.

1. Being Bullied For Liking My Little Pony (with Les and James Daniel Walsh)

This cross over that  I did with Les and James was perhaps the most important and most serious article, I've ever written.  When I first heard this story of a young boy being bullied for liking this show to the point of wanting to commit suicide,  I wanted to scream and cry at the same time because no one should be made to feel this way and I just knew that  I had to say something and I knew that I wanted James along for this article as  we covered this topic on Stop The Hate and  this article just was something that I knew that I had to write and to have Les, a fellow Brony along was great as we could all offer our insight on this rather serious topic.  This isn't article that  I wanted to write but rather in my opinion, needed to write.  I just wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't say anything and that's why this article is to me, perhaps one of the most important articles , I've ever written.

Thanks to everyone that's read this little blog series for over a year.  Thanks to The Second Opinion for joining me as we go through season 4 together and take a look at the episodes.   Thanks to the guests that have joined me along the way.  Thanks to Lauren Faust and her team for giving me one of my favorite shows of all time.   There is only one way to close this out by having the best night ever, at the gala.
