Hello & welcome back to the Fan Music Extravaganza here on Trotting Through Life. Today's entry is rather special as you see, today we are taking a look at the musician that got me into fan music in the first place as I take a look at the works of MandoPony. Now, Mando is one of the famous musicians in the fan community so much so that, he helped with the background music for the S3 finale, his OC appeared and one of the comics and at one of the latest cons, he got to perform a song with Andrea Libman, voice of Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. Mind you, not one of his own though. Also, it's funny that he is the last artist that I'll be looking at as the very first Trotting was a review of his song, A Long Way From Equestira. With that out of the way, let's begin.
Kindness
Yay, I finally get to talk about a Fluttershy song. I've been waiting two articles for this one. I have a very special history with this song. You see, this was the first Brony song, I ever heard. Of course, I checked it out because it's about my Fluttershy and I loved it. This is from part of a project that Mando is working on to do a song for all 7 elements. So far, he's done Loyalty and Kindness. I don't really like Loyalty, even if the style does fit Dashie. This song though, is very special to me as it was the first one I ever heard and it's a reminder of why I love Fluttershy. And I also think this is a song that is good on it's own even without the MLP connection. I've actually used this song in a video, I made in the past. I'm not sure how many of you remember that but when Creepy was going his hard times, I wanted to do something for him and made him a video using this song.
So Much Left To Know
I really like this song and it fits Twilight to a tee with her wanting to learn so much. When, I first heard this song I pictured a filly Twi singing it but the more, I listen to it, that doesn't make sense because this is clearly more about Twilight after she had met her friends. It's a nice little piece that I really enjoy.
We Make A Perfect Team
I swear even if Spike may not be a character like when the show focuses on him, I love the relationship between him and Twilight Sparkle. This is such a cute little song from Spike's POV about how well they work together. Really, don't see enough Spike material in the fandom or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places. Heh, even if the little guy is the focus of the worst episode of the show, I can't hate him and this song shows why.
Shining Armor
Aw, what a sweet song. Shining realizing that his LSBFF doesn't need his protection anymore. Man, that's gotta be hard. I've always loved these relationships being a little sibling, stuff like this speaks to me and makes me wonder what my big sis felt as I grew up because while I was in high school, she was in Florida with her family. We did lose connection for a little bit but got back together eventually and in a strange way, I know that she is just one of many Shining Armors in my life as she'll always be there for me.
I'll Fly Higher
It's nice to have an uplifting Scootaloo song after last time. This song while one of my favorites, is one I don't listen to that often. I had the hardest time placing what this song was about and then it was "duh!" This song is simply about how Scoots will make it through and while she'll have obstacles in her way, she'll have help from the fastest flyer in all of Equestira. So really, this song is about not giving up. Also, this song does something I thought impossible as it makes part of The Cutie Mark Crusader Anthem tolerable.
I Am No Hero
Okay, I have to be honest, I like Luna. Not my favorite princess. I think we all know who that is. And this is a pretty good song about Luna feeling remorse and regret for her actions as Nightmare Moon.
One article left as I give you a look at some of my favorites that really only seem to have one or two songs under their belts. Or that I know. Sure, I could look up some more but I don't want to stretch this out any further.
